Consultation and Advice. This is normally a one-off visit of two hours to discuss ideas or problems you may have with planting and maintenance, or get you started on a design. I do on-the-spot plans and sketches for you to keep, with suggestions for materials, products, plants and suppliers.

Planting Plans. A planting scheme, together with a plant list, can be supplied for individual borders or for the whole garden. I can also arrange estimates for supply and delivery of the plants and for the planting.

Outline Garden Plans. This is the first and most important stage of the design process.  It follows an initial meeting when I go through with you all aspects of the new design. The ideas are expressed in scaled plans and perspectives so that you can see how the garden will look and we can make any necessary changes.

Concept Schemes. These are coloured scale plans that provide the basis for you to carry out the work yourself or with your own contractor. You will also be given a written description of the scheme outlining the planting and materials.

Landscape Design Schemes. Landscape schemes can be prepared either with or without a planting plan. Based on the outline plan I prepare detailed, dimensioned landscape drawings. They may incorporate construction drawings for features such as walls, steps, water features and garden buildings, with an electrical layout if required. A schedule of work that specifies the materials and products is also included. A contractor will be able to give you an accurate estimate and carry out the work from the drawings and schedule.

Site Supervision.This includes obtaining estimates for the work from reliable contractors, liaising with the contractor to achieve the most effective use of materials for your budget and supervision of the work in progress.

Custom Designed Items.It can sometimes be difficult to find an item in the style or size you need. If you would like a unique piece of furniture, garden building, pergola or water feature, this can be custom designed and built for you.
