The garden slopes in two directions.

The owners wished to introduce water, including a pond for wildlife, otherwise the existing trees and features were to remain. Shallow stone steps now follow the contours of the ground and allow the pool areas to be made level.

The lower step sweeps round into a curving path providing focus and structure. The clients are constructing the work themselves.
