I have worked in the Cardiff area as a designer and an artist for the past seventeen years and have become familiar with the gardens, soil types and the plants that flourish here.

Good planning is the backbone of the design, shaping the space for the way in which you wish to use the garden – for entertaining, safe play for children, relaxing and enjoyment. The forms of shrubs, trees and structures create the three-dimensional space, screening for privacy, intimate pathways, open areas for the sun. I choose plants not only for the soil type, but for the microclimates created by the orientation of the site to ensure they will thrive. Colour, the texture of materials and foliage, the interplay of light and shade as it changes through the seasons, are also vital elements in making your garden a success.
